Critical Solution Interview

1.Can you tell us a little bit about the band for those that have never heard of you before?
Eimund,

Norwegian thrash metal band with influences  Testament, Machine Head,Metallica to name a few.
We started out in 2005 as a kind of cover band and started writing our first songs which luckily has never gone public. After 2010 things got more serious and we released our EP "Evidence Of Things Unseen" on May 16th 2011 and our debut album "Evil Never Dies" May 16th 2013.

2.How would you describe your musical sound?
Egil,
Our musical sound is Heavy guitars with old school Thrashy sound with one of the most heavy bass and drum sounds out there. All this blowing your face off ofcourse.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

Egil,
Well on Evil Never Dies which is a concept album it is basically everything you need, from War to the Devil. The next album without saying to much will not focus on that but more into horror type of thing.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?

Chris,
When we started back in 05 all we did was play Guns N' Roses, Nazareth  etc tunes.. So we took the name from The GN'R song "Garden Of Eden". After that we kinda just stuck with it all these years.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and how would you describe your stage performance?

Tov,
Some of the best shows are obviusly Norway Rock in 2010 and recently egersund,. We played almost the full album and a few covers and one unreleased song. Also we had a gallow  and Wallace Green was hanged during "the execution" so in the future we hope to bring that and other kind of theatrical things.  stage performance are always energetic, tight, and we show that we have a good time while we're playing!

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

Eimund,
We Hope so. Not easy, but we work our asses off everyday so hopefully soon we get to head out on tour! Follow our website or facebook to be the first to know. On thing is for shure, it will be one hell of a show!

7.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest yet?

Chris,
Yes we are unsigned and ofcourse we are looking for a record-deal. We will never stop thats for shure!

8.You have a couple of well known metal veterans  doing some songs with you on the album, how did you get in contact with them and where you satisfied with the final result?

Chris,
There are no words on how proud we are, how satisfied we are. It is insane to think that One of the best guitarists in the world  plays two solos on our debut record! One of my personal idols actually playing with us, and to have Whitfield Crane singing Killed By Death. Well we could not ask for more. The guy has one of the best voices out there and is one of the main reasons i got into music so it is definetely a dream come true. We cant be thankful enough!

9. On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of thrash metal/

Chris,
I am happy to say its been a huge deal of great response which is amazing and gives us even more drive. When people compare us to bands like Metallica, Testament, Machine Head an even Y&T, i guess we did something right. People from all country's but especially South America. All in all its super rad!

10.What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?

Chris,
We are actually almost done writing the next album. The concept is there and about 10 songs are done. What i can say now is that it is definetely Thrash, but it wont be Evil Never Dies II. There are some other than thrash elements in there to.

11.What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Tov,
We all have some common and some different influences ofcourse. Obviusly Old School Thrash Metal is a common favourite. Bands like Testament, Overkill, Metallica, Machine Head, King Diamond etc all are inspirations.

Chris,
Saxon ofcourse and the rest of NWOBHM.

Listening to nowadays, Tov:   Alter Bridge' new album fortress along with the classic bands, Testament etc
Chris: Gypsyhawk which is the new Thin Lizzy but still original. Fantastic band! Also there is Alter Bridge                                                   ofcourse so there is still hope.

12.Outside of music what are some of your interests?
