Tankard Interview

> 1. Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?

We just returned from our South America tour and another 2 shows in
Portugal. Now we have a break until the begin of march and then we will have some
shows in Sweden. We also start with the songwriting for the next album but I can't
tell you the release date. I'm only sure that it won’t be out before 2014.

>

> 2. How would you describe the musical sound of the new album and how it differs from previous releases?

We tried to put some more attention to the guitar sound and Michael(Mainx) did also a good job recording the vocals and the drums. The target was let the drums sound like a real drum kit but not like these dominant
machine gun sound that you can find on many productions nowadays.

>

> 3. What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

Like always we have a balance between funny lyrics of things that happened or better not. Like "Metal Lady Boy" or
the title track "Girl Called Cerveza". Also some serious stuff like "Rapid Fire" about dictators in their own few or
"Witchhunt2.0" about weird accusations appearing on the web and how hard it is to fight against things like that.

>

> 4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?
Nothing special. Just a big glass of beer which means a big glass of beer.

>

> 5. What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and how would you describe your stage performance?

Since we created some rules about drinking alcohol before showtime most of
our shows are without accidents in case of the music. The performance on stage is roughly full of action and the guys
just have to take care that they don't hit somebody else while they jump around.

>

> 6. What are the touring plans for 2013?

We continue with a lot of club shows and festivals all over europe but we don't do a real tour cause we don't want to leave our families alone for too long and also we all have regular jobs to do.

>

> 7. The band has been around for 30 years, what is it that keeps you motivated to write and create music after all these days?

We do this like a hobby. Like other people going out for Bowling or Darts we travel around the world and play the music we like.

>

> 8. On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your new album by fans of thrash?

Most of our fans we talked to say that they like it. We also getting more and more offers to play all around the world so there must be something we did right.

>

> 9. What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?

We won’t do much changes in the way we work on a new release and we never had a master plan how we have to sound in the future so to be serious I can't answer this question.

>

> 10. What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

I think you have to put all the classic rock and metal stuff from the 70th, 80th and 90th in a basket. top it with punk and thrash and mix it carefully. Nowadays my very favorite band is Clutch!

>

> 11. Outside of music what are some of your interests?
Gerre and Andy support their favorite soccer team(Eintracht Frankfurt). Frank has enough to do with his three sons and I like motorcycling.

>

> 12. Any final words or thoughts before we wrap up this interview?

Cheers Metalheads, Tourdates Infos and some funny stuff as well can be found on Tankard.info....
